With the 200 series, Boss introduces a new generation of pedals that combine advanced sound and versatility in a streamlined format that minimizes pedalboard space consumption. Intuitive controls and multi-function switches make operation simple and straightforward, while internal memories allow you to save different setups that can be instantly recalled. All 200 series pedals offer superior sound quality with 32-bit AD/DA conversion, 32-bit internal processing and 96kHz sample rate, along with support for additional controls via external footswitches, an expression pedal or via MIDI. Featuring algorithms derived from the flagship MD-500, the MD-200 Modulation offers first-class effects in a small, handy pedal. Twelve different modes offer any modulation effect you may need and more, with direct access to parameters such as speed, intensity and level, as well as additional parameters suitable for any type of effect. Velocities can also be entered via a footswitch during performance, and rhythmic subdivisions are easily set and displayed with dedicated controls on the panel. And with the powerful Insert function, you can connect distortion and other pedal effects and select whether modulation processing is applied upstream or downstream of other effects.
