During the 60s and 70s GIBSON increased the market-pressure through adapted classic guitar designs for bass models like SG & LES PAUL. In 73 however they decided to make a new innovative model 'The Ripper', the production has been stopped after 10 successful years. GIBSON's 'daughter' EPIPHONE is now giving new life to the handmade reissues:
