Roy Haynes is one of Jazz's legendary drummers. He played with jazz masters likeLouis Armstrong, Lester Young, Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, Sarah Vaughan and John Coltrane.

The unique sound of this Jazz Great is embodied in his fantastic signature snare.

The 14" x 5 1/2"Copper shell produces deep, dark low end and is highly responsive. The hand hammered finish creates a deeper tone with more sensitivity than previous copper shells. Additonally the 2.3mm thick steel hoop enhances the copper shell's tone with tightness and sharpness.
